Présentation au COSSEC "Chimie, Matériaux et Procédés"

Le projet FUTURPROD a été présenté au Comité scientifique sectoriel "Chimie, Matériaux et Procédés" du département Ingénierie, Procédé, Sécurité" de l'ANR le vendredi 4 mai 2012.

Ce comité regroupe une trentaine de personnes, académiques et industriels des domaines concernés. Il est en charge de la réflexion stratégique et formule des recommandations quant aux futurs programmes de recherche à lancer.

Le projet a suscité un fort intérêt auprès des membres du comité. FUTURPROD est en effet un projet très structurant pour la définition du prochain cycle de programmation scientifique de l'ANR, 2014-2016. La "ré-industrialisation" est un objectif clairement affiché dans une perspective de "durabilité" (sustainbility) certaine à la fois économique, environnementale et sociale. FUTURPROD s'est construit autour de ces questions et entend bien y répondre de manière précise.

La région Rhône-Alpes dans le cadre de sa Stratégie Régionale de l'Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche et de l'Innovation 2012- 2015 a mis en place un nouveau dispositif de soutien à la recherche appelé Communauté Académique de Recherche (ARC). Cela a donné lieu à la création de huit ARCs. La définition des périmètres scientifiques s'est largement appuyée sur le document stratégique "Europe 2020" de l'Union Européenne .

Depuis le 1er janvier 2012, le cluster Gospi et le cluster 12 "Dynamiques territoriale et sociale" forment l'ARC 8 "Industrialisation et sciences de gouvernement".

Objectifs

Etudier de nouveaux modes de développement économique et social, les systèmes de pilotage qui leur sont nécessaires, ainsi que les transformations sociales et industrielles, susceptibles de faire de la région Rhône-Alpes un laboratoire de sciences de gouvernement et d'industrialisation :

Grenoble is served by the High – Speed Train (TGV network) with regular services to and from Paris (Gare de Lyon). Intercity Express Regional Transport (TER) services connect Grenoble with Geneva and several destinations to the east.

Air Travel Grenoble can be accessed by plane from Grenoble-Isère Airport, Saint-Exupéry International Airport near Lyon.

Grenoble is a city on the south-eastern France situated at the foot of the French Alps where the Drac joins the Isère River. Located in the Rhône-Alpes region, Grenoble is the capital of the department of Isère. The proximity of the mountains make the city named “Capital of Alps.” To the north is the Chartreuse, to the south and west the Vercors, and to the east the Belledonne range. For the French it is the capital of the Alps, and the Tour de France regularly passes through Grenoble.

The city experienced a period of economic expansion in the 19th and 20th centuries, symbolized by the holding of the Olympic Winter Games in 1968. Grenoble is now a major scientific center, especially in the fields of physics, computer science and applied mathematics. The Open-FORUM goal

The aim of this Open-Forum is to present and build a common understanding of the VISIONAIR infrastructure. This new European infrastructure will share high level facilities for the research community.

The morning sessions will be dedicated to a presentation of the infrastructure itself while the afternoon sessions will be dedicated to discussions about the concept of infrastructure and the opportunities opened by VISIONAIR for both academics and industry.

More about Visionnair

Visionair calls for the creation of a European infrastructure for high level visualisation facilities that will be open to research communities across Europe and around the world. By integrating existing facilities, Visionair will create a world-class research infrastructure for conducting state-of-the-art research, thus significantly enhancing the attractiveness and visibility of the European Research Area (ERA). Visionair project has already been approuved by the European Commission. The project should start in February 2011 under the condition of the final signature.

The Visionair project goals :

Current scientific challenges concern issues such as climate evolution, environmental risks, molecular biology, health, and energy. These issues require the management of increasingly complex and voluminous information, thus calling for the development of ever more powerful visualisation methods and tools.

Visionair type of services and target groups :

The Visionair partners propose to build a common infrastructure that will grant researchers access to high level visualisation facilities and resources. Both physical access and virtual services will be provided by the infrastructure. Full access to visualization-dedicated software will be organised, while physical access to high level platforms will be partially accessible (about 20% of global usage) to other scientists, free of charge, based on the excellence of the project submitted. Indeed, researchers from Europe and around the world will be welcome to carry out their research projects using the visualisation facilities provided by the infrastructure.

Les 19 et 20 mars dernier à Grenoble, 35 experts de haut niveau se sont retrouvés pour un premier travail d'analyse collectif des systèmes de production français et européens dans le cadre de l'ARP FUTURPROD.

Les échanges entre ingénierie et sciences humaines et sociales ont été riches et la confrontation entre points de vue académiques et industriels particulièrement intéressante pour la construction d'un objet d'étude partagé.

Ces deux journées constituaient le lancement de l'ARP FUTURPROD. Ce projet soutenu par l'ANR a une durée totale de 15 mois.

Les experts se retrouveront maintenant fin mai pour approfondir leur compréhension des systèmes de production en s'appuyant sur le travail réalisé entre chaque atelier.
